Families on the Fairway, Outdoor Family Fun in Gurnee This Summer

One of my favorite things about summer in the Chicago area is how quickly parks, patios, golf courses, and community spaces fill up with families looking for reasons to spend time together outdoors.
That’s why I’m excited to be part of Families on the Fairway in Gurnee this summer.
I’ll be bringing my interactive comedy magic show to the event, along with plenty of audience participation, laughter, and family-friendly silliness for kids and grownups alike.
Outdoor family events always have a different energy than indoor parties. Kids can spread out a little more. Grandparents often come along. Parents actually get a chance to relax for a minute while the kids become completely absorbed in the fun. There’s something really special about hearing a whole crowd laugh together outside on a summer afternoon.
Over the years, I’ve performed at backyard birthday parties, country clubs, camps, holiday events, libraries, and family festivals all over the Chicago area, and community events like this are always some of the most memorable. You get a little bit of everything: kids shouting magic words at full volume, younger siblings trying to help, parents laughing harder than they expected to, and occasionally somebody in the back wondering how on earth the trick worked.
Outdoor events also create opportunities for families to enjoy entertainment together in a more relaxed way. There’s less pressure than a formal theater setting. People can move around, grab snacks, explore activities, and still gather together when the magic begins.
