Preschool Magic Show: Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions about bringing professional magic entertainment to your preschool or daycare, answered.
What ages is the show best for?
This program is designed specifically for preschool and early elementary ages, typically 3 to 6 years old.
The pacing, visuals, and audience participation are all tailored for shorter attention spans and developing social skills. No "talky" tricks, no confusing plots. Just clear, colorful, laugh-out-loud magic that keeps young children engaged and excited.
Do you need a stage or special setup?
Not at all.
The show is designed to work in your space, whether that's a classroom, multipurpose room, or gym. I bring everything needed, including sound equipment if required, and set up quickly with minimal disruption to your schedule.
Is the show interactive?
Very.
Children help with the magic, respond out loud, and become part of the experience. Participation is guided and positive, so everyone feels included without anyone being put on the spot. This interactive approach keeps energy high and ensures every child feels like they're part of something special.
Why Directors Love It:
-
No Transportation Needed – In-house field trip means no buses or permission slips required
-
Flexible Timing – Works during circle time or as a special activity block
-
Teachers Can Relax – Staff can enjoy the show without managing the room
-
Memorable Experience – Breaks up the routine with something special
How long is the program?
Most preschool programs run about 30 minutes.
That's the sweet spot for keeping the kids engaged, participating, and having fun without losing the room. The show is designed to maintain high energy and hold attention from start to finish. For special events, we can adjust slightly, but shorter and high-energy always works best at this age.
Space Requirements
A small open area in front of the children is perfect. If the kids can sit comfortably on the floor in a group, we can make it work. No complicated staging, no heavy equipment, no stress on your staff.
How does this fit into our day?
Think of it like an in-house field trip.
No buses, no permission slips, no logistics headaches. You get a special event that breaks up the routine and gives the kids something memorable, without leaving the building.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as possible, especially for fall and holiday seasons.
Many centers book weeks or even months ahead to secure preferred dates, particularly for shows like Winter Wonderland and seasonal events. Peak demand occurs during fall and holiday periods, so booking early helps avoid disappointment.
Still unsure?
If you are on the fence, that is normal. Most people who book have never hired a magician before.
If you want to talk through your space, your schedule, or just get to know me, I am happy to help you decide if this makes sense, even if the answer is no.
